Revives Mind: Build Life Better.

"The wound is not my fault, but the healing is my responsibility."

Meet the founder

Dr. Kinnari Birla-Bharucha, PsyD is the owner and a founder of Elvive Psychological Services. She is a licensed clinical psychologist with a seasoned and well-established background in providing psychotherapy and comprehensive psychological evaluations to adults and adolescents. She earned her doctoral degree from an APA accredited institution, Adler University in Chicago, and is licensed in Texas and Florida, with PSYPACT (the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact) authorization to provide telehealth services across more than 40 participating states.

Dr. Birla brings a distinguished background in integrated behavioral health, having spent over a decade at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center serving U.S. military Veterans across a wide spectrum of mental health and behavioral medicine needs. In 2022, she launched Elvive Psychological Services, a fully virtual HIPAA complaint practice dedicated to delivering high-quality, accessible telepsychological care. Since she is a child of Indian immigrants raised in the United States, the practice brings a culturally attuned and inclusive lens to mental health care.

At Elvive Psych, care is grounded in cultural responsiveness, clinical excellence, and deep respect for each client’s lived experience. Elvive Psych specializes in supporting individuals and families impacted by generational trauma, cultural conditioning, intersectional values differences, perfectionism, cultural pressures, psychology of the paradox effects on immigrants, and the complexities of navigating multiple identities across race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, and more. Our clinicians are dedicated to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to share their stories.

The clinicians at Elvive Psych integrate warmth, clinical insight, and gold-standard evidence-based practice. Therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-focused treatments, mindfulness-based interventions, and attachment-oriented work to name a few. This integrative model promotes psychological flexibility, supports neuroplasticity, strengthens emotional regulation, enhance consciousness, and facilitates meaningful, lasting change. We believe healing begins within a strong therapeutic relationship rooted in self-awareness, compassion, and personal agency.

Elvive Psych also offers psychological assessment services using gold-standard diagnostic tools. These evaluations are designed to support diagnostic clarification, guide treatment planning, inform academic and workplace accommodations, and provide a deeper understanding of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning. Assessments for ADHD, higher-functioning autism spectrum disorder, mood and anxiety disorders, trauma-related concerns, and personality features are provided by Dr. Birla and her carefully trained clinical team, ensuring thoughtful, ethically grounded, and clinically rigorous care.

Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Birla is an author, supervisor, consultant, mother, and educator committed to helping individuals move beyond a survivor mindset and reclaim meaningful, values-driven lives. Her practice reflects a holistic view of healing—honoring emotional, mental, cultural, and spiritual dimensions of growth—while supporting clients in creating lives aligned with their authentic selves.

What forms do I need to complete to get started?

One important form in the therapy process is the Informed Consent document, which you will sign to indicate your agreement to engage in therapy. The Informed Consent form ensures that you have a clear understanding of the therapeutic process, including the rights and responsibilities of both you and your therapist.

This document usually includes the following information:

  • Policies, including guidelines on cancellations and no-shows.
  • Information about fees and payment arrangements.
  • The limits of confidentiality and when information may be shared.
  • Explanation of patient rights and what you can expect during therapy.
  • An overview of the potential risks and benefits associated with therapy.
