At Elvive Psychological Services, we adhere to the provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), representing high standards of professional practice in regards to privacy and confidentiality. It is important, though, to acknowledge that there are certain legal limits to confidentiality, such as in the event of suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse, and serious threats to harm self or others.
